White flammable prisms or needle crystals, low toxicity. Micro-soluble in water, soluble in ethanol, ether and chloroform, with steam volatilization. The relative density was 1. 062. The melting point was 103-105 °c. Boiling Point (100. 125kPa) 258~259 deg C. Refractive index 512. Ionization Constant 1.2*10 A 5.
with O-xylene as raw material, cobalt naphthenate as catalyst, at a temperature of 120 deg C, pressure 0. Under 245MPa, O-xylene continuously enters the oxidation tower for air oxidation, and the oxidation liquid enters the stripping tower for concentration, and is crystallized and centrifuged to obtain a finished product. The mother liquor was distilled to recover O-xylene and part of O-Toluic acid, and then the residue was discharged.
It is mainly used for the synthesis of initiator MBPO and fungicide phosphoramide. Also used in the production of spices and film.

use | is mainly used for the synthesis of pesticide, medicine and organic chemical raw materials. currently, it is the main raw material for the production of herbicide rice without grass o-methyl benzoic acid is the intermediate of fungicides antirust amine, phenoxy, trifloxazole and herbicide bensulfuron-methyl. used as pesticide fungicide phosphoramide, perfume, vinyl chloride polymerization initiator MBPO, m-cresol, color film developer and other organic synthesis intermediates. It is used in organic synthesis intermediates, pesticide industry to produce fungicide phosphoramide, and can also be used in spices and film films. o-methylbenzoic acid is an important intermediate in the synthesis of many fine chemicals, which is used to prepare initiator MBPO, bactericide phosphoramide, perfume, film film, etc. |
Production method | is obtained by catalytic oxidation of o-xylene. With o-xylene as raw material and cobalt naphthenate as catalyst, o-xylene continuously enters the oxidation tower for air oxidation at a temperature of 120 ℃ and a pressure of 0.245MPa, and the oxidation liquid enters the stripper for concentration, crystallization and centrifugation to obtain the finished product. The mother liquor is distilled, o-xylene and some o-methylbenzoic acid are recovered, and the slag is discharged. The yield was 74%. O-xylene (95%)1300kg is consumed per ton of product. the preparation method is to continuously oxidize o-xylene with air in the presence of cobalt naphthenate catalyst under the conditions of reaction temperature 120~125 ℃ and pressure 196~392kPa in an oxidation tower to obtain a finished product. |
